Frequently Asked Questions
BEFORE YOU BOOK
-
If it's affecting your sleep, your relationships, your focus, or just how you're experiencing your own life, it's worth talking about. You don't need a crisis to justify starting.
-
Whatever's actually on your mind, there's no wrong question. Common ones: how sessions work, what a typical arc looks like, whether talk or creative arts fits better, and what happens if it's not the right fit. The free 15-minute call is built for exactly this.
-
Start with the 3-session pack. You can add more or upgrade anytime, nothing is locked in from day one.
-
No. Sessions are confidential. What you share stays between us, with the standard exceptions any licensed therapist follows around safety.
-
Research shows comparable outcomes for both, when the therapeutic relationship is good. Online removes travel time and adds privacy; in-person offers a more contained space some people find easier to sit in. Pick whichever removes more friction for you.
HOW SESSIONS WORK
-
You'll usually notice it in small, specific ways before big ones, sleeping better, reacting differently to something that used to derail you, feeling less alone with a particular thought. We can check in on this directly during sessions.
-
Yes. Motivation issues and procrastination are often symptoms of something else going on underneath, at work or in your personal life, not a standalone problem to fix on its own.
-
No. Pre-marital counseling helps you set realistic expectations, build healthy communication, work through past baggage, and understand each other's love languages, before those become harder conversations later.
-
We work with differently abled children and adolescents, including autism spectrum, delayed development, and cerebral palsy, through creative arts. The goal is helping them build body awareness, self-awareness, and resilience, while finding what they're genuinely good at.
-
That's useful information, not a failure. Tell me directly, or start with the free 15-minute call first, which exists specifically so we can check fit before you commit to a package.
-
No. Creative arts is a tool, not a requirement. Verbal counseling, straight conversation, is available if that's what fits you better.
-
No prior training in any art form is required. It's an open space to express however feels right for you, in service of what you're actually working toward.
-
No special supplies required. Whatever's around, paper, pens, colors, your phone's notes app, works. If a session calls for something specific, I'll tell you in advance.
